WINTER IS OUR HAPPENING! MARQUETTE, MI
We have had a great summer and fall. Lake Superior over 20 degrees warmer than normal, long warm days and an extra long fall color season. All of this points to a wild winter season. If predictions follow the norm, a warmer Lake Superior will produce big snowfalls.
Here in Marquette County the annual seasonal recreation equipment switch is happening. Going away are the kayaks, bikes, inflatables, and coolers, only to be replaced by ice picks, snowmobiles, ski equipment and skates. It is our rite of passage here in the county, as we look forward to the “white gold” falling out of the sky and covering us with many feet of snow.

The evenings are often full of Northern Lights and a wolf's cry. The dress is casual and the attitudes are friendly. Bring sweaters for summer evenings and expect beautiful warm days. Winters are harsh and fall is cool, but the seasons are amazing.
